Jasmine Newson is a writer, storyteller, and community builder whose work lives at the intersection of healing, cultural truth, and global Black connection.
For more than a decade, she has helped mission-driven brands and movements translate lived experience into language that builds trust, shifts perception, and moves people toward action, including through her leadership at Teach For America. She is known for strong editorial judgment, cultural fluency, and the ability to make complex community work feel accessible and worth joining.
In the digital space, Jasmine leads social narrative and community cultivation. She builds content creator ecosystems that center real voices, protect brand integrity, and translate mission into clear, resonant messaging. Her work spans platform strategy, community management, and influencer activation, grounded in a simple belief: people should feel seen, not sold to.
At her core, Jasmine writes for Black women navigating grief, mental health, growth, and becoming. Her storytelling is tender and directive; it names what hurts, honors what has carried her, and makes room for joy without rushing the process. She is the creator of JNewWisdom: The Revelations of a Millennial Woman, a reflective platform rooted in transparency and self-trust. She is currently writing books and designing healing-centered experiences for Black women across the African Diaspora. Having traveled to 30+ countries and lived in Peru and Costa Rica, Jasmine grounds her work in a global lens shaped by care and the lifelong practice of belonging.
Her voice has reached audiences through podcast and media features including Since Y’all Don’t Read, Black on Black Education, Becoming She, Shoutout Atlanta, and Voyage ATL. She has hosted and moderated conversations on wellness, purpose, and leadership, including Women Evolve, where she shared the stage with Sarah Jakes Roberts before 400+ women. Jasmine’s leadership has been recognized through the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network 30 Under 30 Honoree, the ATL4Haiti Philanthropy Award, Handshake’s Early Talent Award, and Georgia Trend’s 40 under 40 Honoree.
Across every room and every page, she is committed to ensuring people feel held, stories are rooted in truth, and Black women leave with more breath than they arrived with.
